A wine from the PLAIMONT Terroir & Chateau range that pays homage to its descendants / ancestors: “Heart, spirit and nobility” are the terms used by Henri Faget, the current owner of the Chateau, to describe Domaine de Cassaigne’s exceptional heritage.
The heart of man,
the winegrowers’ spirit and the nobility of the terroir are all united in this fine red wine.
The vineyard
The vineyard (merlot and syrah grapes) is situated on a plain high above the village of Cassaigne, a historical and touristic hotspot in the Gers located 7 km from Condom. The property covers 28 hectares around the Château, including 12 hectares of exceptional limestone outcrop, a soil type particularly well-suited to the production of fine red wines.
Cuvée
This barrel-aged cuvée blend is complex with aromas of dark berry fruits, cinnamon and vanilla on the nose. It has persistence in the mouth, with notes of spice and silky tannins.
There is also a white Domaine de Cassaigne wine (Gros Manseng and Colombard grapes).
