Meeting tomorrow’s challenges means anticipating them today… Our R&D help us find solutions to the major challenges we face. Through the rediscovery of indigenous grape varieties, more respectful vineyard management, and the implementation of more accurate winemaking techniques, we are steering our entire territory towards producing wines that are more suited to their environment, healthier, better tasting, more digestible and representative of our way of life.
Sustainable development is at the core of our actions
We reassert our commitment to preserve and maintain our cultural and plant heritage and to defend the values of cooperation.
It is for this purpose that we include CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) in all our internal processes, upstream and downstream.
Around the social pillar.
Above all, we are a group of men and women with a commitment, proud of their territory and of their shared values. It was for this reason that we wanted to include our employees in our cooperative system.
In 2015, Plaimont was the first French cooperative to allow its employees to invest by buying shares. Foreign language lessons are proposed to our winegrowers so that they can present our appellations and cuvées to foreigners in marketplaces. It also contributes to their personal development.
Around the social pillar
In line with the admirable work done by the founders of Plaimont, our winegrowers and our teams are committed to maintaining the biodiversity and native grape varieties that make our territory unique.
Our winegrowers also do green vine tending (vine leaf stripping, green harvesting, disbudding) and favour the grass growing and plant cover of the plots in order to limit, where possible, the use phytosanitary products.
This type of balanced management of our vineyards, according to rigorous specifications, ensures a high-quality raw product, which is the core of the excellence of our wines.
